Meet me at the Bridge
While reviewing educational materials contracted for use on my first project in the civilian work force, I came across a video hosted by industry expert Jenny Evans.
I took one look at Jenny and saw everything that could possibly be for me. With her short silver hair spiked to the gods, set of mala on her left wrist, and an air of confidence that put you as the listener at ease, I was immediately committed to seeing if I could pick her brain.
Like a weirdo, I proceeded to stalk her on every social platform possible - just not her website. Surely that would have been too easy and fate needed me to take the long way around.
I didn’t hear from Jenny for several months. By the time she popped back into my inbox, it was an unexpected surprise.
When we arranged to meet, I shared with Jenny my then rumblings of a deep desire to create, then described as “for fun.” She looked at me and earnestly suggested I start making something, anything just “for me.”
If we can pay close enough attention, we can notice that The Universe likes to give us little nudges and foreshadowing along our way.
I almost immediately experienced what can most accurately be described as consternation, a feeling that did not leave me for the next two years. I needed to wrestle back my creative power from all of the external entities I had willingly entrusted it to before I could finally understand what it meant to Create.
And then, I found myself at The Bridge.
The Bridge is so much more than my brand. It is my commitment to Us. The Bridge is a place to grow. It is a place to learn. It is a place to connect. It is a place to commune.
When we look around the world, we pretty quickly realize that no one knows where we are going. I certainly don’t, but I sure will cross The Bridge with you on the way there.
